Tall and slender, green creatures with bulging eyes, huge heads, and on a mission to explore the mind and life of a simple human. What comes to mind when thinking of such extraterrestrial creatures? Could these creatures from a different universe with nothing similar to a human even exist? Evidence of aliens has been documented for years now, but has there been evidence from our ancestors long ago? Has our government made many efforts to suppress such evidence and camouflage any advancements the public may find? Perhaps, the government is hiding such evidence as it is working alongside them.
Aliens are mysterious, intellectual beings who have left mental and physical scars on the lives of many. A woman who lived to tell her story of her encounters with these mysterious creatures is named Sheila Young. Sheila Young, the mother of three, and her husband, claimed to have been abducted and petrified for six months straight in 1989, during the autumn season (Day 1). This case was labeled as “The Montana Encounters” (1). Sheila and her husband's first sighting of these mysterious beings took place one afternoon while the family was innocently playing board games (1). Sheila and her husband saw a streak of flames zoom across the sky. Worried, they investigated the following day but saw no evidence of a crash. That was just the beginning of these mysterious sightings for the family, “The next evening was a normal evening for us and we put the children to bed and my husband and I turned in for the evening. Around 3:00 in the morning, we were awoken by bright lights coming through our entire house and we were both keenly aware that we were being watched (1).” Recalling what she says was her encounter with the extra-terrestrials, Sheila added: “I have a scar where I remember being hooked to some sort of TV monitor night after night with hundreds of other humans” (Day 1). After being harassed and antagonized by these mysterious beings, Sheila would later suffer from severe PTSD for years after these so called “abductions” (1).
Another mysterious case that left an alarming impact on a group of individuals was labeled "It is very important We DO This." (Dennett 1) This mysterious encounter occurred in July of 1991, when a woman named Melinda Leslie and her two friends came in close contact with the extraterrestrials. While passing through the woods of Los Angeles, California, the three individuals explained that they were taken aboard a silvery aircraft, separated and begun being operated on by these baffling beings. (1); Melinda illustrated that she was brought into a room and surrounded by the creatures and was told that they were going to perform a procedure on her, but nothing would cause any harm to her. ;“Melinda was immobilized by a device placed over her head. The aliens stood in a circle around Melinda and pushed her back and forth like a punching clown. Finally, she relaxed. At that point, they stopped and removed the device. One of the aliens said, you needed to learn that.... You needed to learn to trust us” (1). Melinda’s friends were later able to reminisce about these strange procedures and encounters done to them. Melinda expresses that to this day, she continues to come across these peculiar creatures and experience unnerving encounters (Dennett 1).
The “Montana Encounters” and "it is very important We DO This" cases are just two examples of the bewildering things these creatures are capable of doing. Both stories share the horrors of the people being unwillingly captured and operated on by extraterrestrials. These unfathomable experiences held by these innocent individuals develop more questionable motives held by these creatures. Do they really exist or is it all part of fiction? In addition, is our government hiding any evidence that proves their existence?
Although a large number of our population believe that we are not alone, many specialists argue and disagree with all these claims. When looking at proof of extraterrestrials, we can look to the professionals themselves; Astronauts who have had their own unsettling experiences. Buzz Aldrin, former astronaut, can testify that aliens are real and in fact closer than we think. During the Apollo 11 mission, he and his group witnessed a strange object flying near them.

Reports made on the mysterious flying object were made, “In the audio files, one can feel the alarm of the astronauts when they talked about a radiant object that had an oblong shape. The speed of the unidentified object was very significant, and the object itself left the orbit of the moon”. (Verma) “Buzz Aldrin has also spoken of his own experience on board the Apollo 11 when they saw something flying alongside them. At first, they thought it was the final stage of the detached rocket, until mission control confirmed it was 6000 miles away from them. (EXIST? MOST COMPELLING EVIDENCE OF ALIEN EXISTENCE)” This encounter that Buzz Aldrin had is just one out of the many that other professional astronauts have had. Other professionals who have had questionable experiences include Edgar Mitchell, Cady Coleman and Dr. Brian O’Leary. (DO ALIENS EXIST? MOST COMPELLING EVIDENCE OF ALIEN EXISTENCE).
Several debates have taken place on our government hiding the evidence of foreign objects and evidence found. Various officials have come out to testify against our government and share their documentation collected on secret cover ups. A hearing that attracted and startled thousands across social media platforms is the story from Air Force veteran David Grusch. David Grusch, a man who worked alongside the National Reconnaissance Office, made claims that the government had proof of “non- human origin technical vehicles. Some of which contained "dead pilots" (Norton). Grusch was questioned if the bodies of the pilots found were human or nonhuman biologics. He stated “Nonhuman, and that was the assessment of people with direct knowledge on the program I talked to that are currently still on the program”. (GOP Oversight) While he didn’t give very much information on the program and the technical vehicles, he was very adamant about the topic. This court hearing not only attracted thousands on social media but attracted many scientists and other officials.
Although this court case sparked interest all over the globe, with many believing in these claims, some disagreed and tried to downplay it. While being questioned during the court hearing David Grusch made another claim stating, “that he had knowledge of people who have been harmed or injured in the course of government efforts to conceal UFO information” (Gabbatt). Representative Sue Gough was one of the people who essentially disagreed with Grusch’s claims about people being harmed for their knowledge. “The Pentagon "has no information that any individual has been harmed or killed as a result of providing information" about UFO objects'' (Norton). After all the arguments made at the hearing, officials agreed to continue further investigations on the matter. (Norton).
Next, there was Project Blue Book, the captivating program created by the US government containing intriguing sightings and evidence of extraterrestrials (Bleznak). This program was originally created during 1951 and was said to have been shut down in 1969. In December of 2017, The New York Times revealed that not only did Project Blue Book not shut down, but our government was continuing the program secretly spending millions on the continuation of it (Brown). So why would our government lie to us and tell us the program was shut down? Was it to cover up dangerous evidence or advancements they have? Clearly, our government is hiding more than we think. “According to unclassified documents, the government quietly spent nearly $22 million over about four years on a project dubbed the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program (AATIP)” (1). Why should we as citizens of the US be constantly lied to about alien existence? Why would our government continue to put millions into a program if aliens didn’t exist? It is evident that they do exist, and our government is attempting to conceal it.
From the countless numbers of encounters, terrifying sightings, and abductions we can conclude that aliens are among us, thriving and clearly infatuated with humanity. Their infatuations have left scars on many innocent people like Sheila. who was a part of the Montana Encounters and to the families from “It Is Very Important We Do This Case”. We can also look to professionals like Buzz Aldrin and David Grusch who have testified that aliens are real. In addition, our government has made many attempts to conceal the existence of aliens like in the case of Project Blue Book. Our government can try to cover up the existence of aliens but the open minded believers know the truth. They are here among us and thriving. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether you want to acknowledge their existence or be so conceited to think that we are the only things alive in our entire universe.
